Facilites Hire

Enlarger Bookings and Negative Development Bookings

Bookings must be made in advance by contacting us directly at info@thedarkroomproject.co.uk. We can then arrange a mutually convenient time for you to come in.

Each morning and afternoon session costs £20 for 3 hours (10.30am – 1.30pm and/or 2.30pm – 5.30pm). Full day sessions are priced at the reduced rate of £35, and all users must pay an annual Resort Facilities Membership fee of £35 before using the darkroom – Please click on This Link where you can become a facilities member before booking.

One-to-One tuition is also available for those who wish to learn basic processing and/or developing skills or just want a more tailored approach, (starting at £50 for a three hr workshop ). Please contact us for more details.

Students, recent graduates (within 6 months), and Resort members are offered a 10% discount on facilities hire.

All new users must undergo an induction and will be assessed on their ability to work safely and independently. If we think you need a refresher we will recommend you attend a workshop. Inductions take half an hour and the price is included in the first session fee.

When you book you will be asked to specify which format you are working in – 35mm or medium format. This is so we can control numbers and make sure everyone has access to the equipment they need.

*New new users must read the Health and Safety Information and will be asked to sign a release of liability form during their induction to indicate they have understood the safety requirements associated with working with photographic chemicals and in a low light environment.

All bookings are final

Please note the studio is up two flights of stairs. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access.
