Create your own blue photogram with The Darkroom Project using objects from everyday life in this family workshop for children and adults.

This workshop will introduce you and your kids to printing in the sun (UV light) using natural materials to make blue and white photographs (cyanotypes) without the need for a camera.

This type of photography was invented in the mid 1800’s and was used to make one of the first ever photographic books produced by photographer and botanist ‘Anna Atkins’.

We will be using plants, feathers, shells and other objects to make photographs in this workshop. Attendees are not asked to bring anything in particular, but can bring feathers, plant materials, fabric (e.g. lace) if they like.

Suitable for ages 5+. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

£3 per child
